Housing is continuing to lose value and commercial properties have yet to join the cash burning party. The U.S. Dollar is poised for a fiery crash worst than the Hindenburg. Some economists predict unemployment rates will rise to a staggering 15% during 2009. In late 2009 and early 2010, expect to see credit card defaults sky rocket! So what does this mean to you and why would a brush managment company care about such things?
Obviously we care about our customers and are always searching for better, more efficient ways of providing great service at a lower price. We provide a means to eliminate / manage your worst vegetation problems by utilizing highly motivated personnel with tremendous work ethic. Prior to the election of Barack Obama, I was forecasting cheaper prices for vegetation management services this spring and summer due to a weaker economy and increasing unemployment. In a nut shell, there should have been an increase in highly motivated personnel available to work at cheaper wages. I was wrong!
So far, I have seen the exact opposite as exemplified by the quote from a former employee who would rather collect U.I. “Why should I work my butt off dragging brush through poison oak and black berry brambles, up steep slopes for that kind of money ($15/hr) when I can get more per week by doing absolutely nothing?” Oh, I don’t know, maybe….. pride, integrity, the American way. Call me crazy but maybe you should do it because it is the right thing to do!
Usually, as the amount of available work decreases, competition for that work increases and prices decrease leading to better deals for you the consumer. Employees will be faced with working for less money per hour in order to allow the business that provides for them to survive. If the government would stop meddling in business, such as extending U.I., lowering tax rates on the work force and increasing tax rates on businesses, we might actually see a capitalist system work to a better end. That end would look like less but more strong and nimble companies who work harder, faster and cheaper.
Here is the real problem though. President Obama is making it easier to stay on unemployment than ever before. The 2009 tax season will unveil a huge benefit to making little or no money by requiring those making under (x) amount of dollars to not only not pay any taxes but to get paid back by the government. The real question for businesses then becomes; Who will work for worthless dollars if they can get them for free by doing nothing? The answer, nobody! At least not our pampered, sniveling, whiner American worker!
I am always on the lookout for new employees. Yet known show! I would have thought that the unemployed would be knocking down our (employers in general) doors begging for work and willing to do so at a lower rate of pay.

Well, their not!
So, why is their nobody knocking down the doors to work? Well, for the most part, American youth have no idea what hard work is and they have yet to feel that drive to survive by doing any and all types of work possible. Spoiled brats who’s only blisters come from video game controllers! I think, in the very near future, there will come a time when our American workforce will have no choice but to succumb to the fact that manual labor is their only means of putting food on the table. That is so long as Comrade Obama does not step in and pay each American to come and eat at the Social trough for free!
The bottom line is this. If you don’t have to work hard to get it then it isn’t worth having. If you believe in employing hard working Americans to clean up your vegetation then you have come to the right place. Firescape strives to provide you with the best service available. We pay our employees two ways. First in hard earned cash they can be proud to bring home. An update on employment. Un-employment insurance benefits continue to be extended further. Result, nobody is forced to work!
When nobody is forced to work, they get by with the little they have. In turn, this will cause a prolonging effect on the economy.
